Phillip L. Jones, 79, formerly of New Richmond, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion. He had been ill several years and a patient at the hospital for three years. Mr. Jones was the son of the late William and Mary J Smith Jones. He was a tailor by profession and a veteran of WWI. He was a member of the New Richmond Methodist Church. He is survived by a brother Edward S. Jones of Rt. 4, Fort Wayne, and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Helm Funeral Chapel in Linden. Rev Richard Reahard will officiate. Burial will be at the New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

New Richmond – Phillip L. Jones, 79, formerly of the New Richmond community died in the Veterans Hospital at Marion at 9:45 a.m. Thursday. Jones of Rt 4, Ft. Wayne.  The body was sent to Linden.
